Upcoming SUEDE Event to Prove Once Again that Poker, Chic Nightlife, and a Good Cause Can Be a Potent Mixer

14 June, 2005
Continuing a long running streak of unique nightlife programming, this month SUEDE welcomes back its Texas Hold ‘Em Celebrity Poker Tournament. At this year’s event, SUEDE’s chic nightlife crowd will dance, drink, and try their hand at winning an all-expenses paid Las Vegas weekend on behalf of local nonprofit Huckleberry Youth Programs.

Along with professional quality poker tables and trained dealers, patrons can expect SUEDE’s customary VIP treatment, svelte décor, and house and hip-hop from DJs Linden C and Laron.

SUEDE’s multi-roomed layout makes it the perfect venue to observe the cardsharps in action, or mingle in a private booth over a bottle of champagne. Guests will also have the added bonus of knowing that their entire evening’s festivities with contribute to a great cause in Huckleberry, an SF-based nonprofit that works with at-risk youth adolescents and their families.

“SUEDE’s ambition is to bring a sophisticated, dynamic experience to San Francisco nightlife. With this event, we’re excited to provide our patrons with a unique opportunity to enjoy the thrill of Las Vegas and support a wonderful local group,” said SUEDE’s owner Alexis Wong.

The tournament will pit 48 players against each other to battle for a handful of prizes, including a trip to Las Vegas. The gaming will be hosted on professional quality tables by trained dealers, with a $50 buy-in to enter. A two-track elimination system ensures that all players stay competitive from the start of the night, at 10pm, to when the final winners are announced well after midnight. Entrants must RSVP by July 19 th to rsvp@suedesf.com. All gaming begins at 10pm sharp.
